When to use it
- You clean homes or small offices on your own or with a partner, and you want each new client to agree to the same basic terms.
- You are hiring a cleaner for your home and want the price, the frequency and the cancellation rule confirmed before the first visit.
- You are doing a one-time deep clean — a move-out, a post-renovation job — and want the fee and the date settled in advance.
- You finish the walkthrough at the client’s kitchen table and want it signed before you leave: they can sign on their own phone from the link you send.

Rosa runs a two-person cleaning business. After a walkthrough of Kevin’s three-bedroom house, they agree on a bi-weekly clean at $140 a visit, starting the following Thursday. Rosa brings all the supplies, and Kevin pays by Zelle on cleaning days.

What you fill in, and why
The app asks for 9 details in 3 short steps: “Who's involved?”, “Cleaning details”, “Payment”. The ones worth a moment’s thought:
- Cleaning Frequency
- One-time, weekly, bi-weekly or monthly. Together with the first cleaning date, this fixes the whole calendar: a bi-weekly schedule that starts on a Thursday means every other Thursday from then on.
- Common mistake: Writing “bi-weekly” and meaning twice a week. In this contract it means every two weeks. If you clean twice a week, choose weekly and put “two visits a week” in the notes.
- Fee per Visit
- The price for each visit, due the same day as the cleaning. A per-visit fee keeps the math simple when a visit is skipped or added, and it is what the $25 late-cancellation charge is set against.
- Common mistake: Agreeing to a price for a “standard clean” without saying what it covers. If ovens, inside the fridge, windows or laundry are extra, list them in the notes with their prices.
- Who provides cleaning supplies?
- Who brings the products and equipment: the cleaner, the client, or both as agreed. It matters for the price, and for clients with allergies, pets or a preference for particular products.
- Property Address
- The exact place to be cleaned, with the city and state. If there is a gate code, a lockbox or a parking rule, share it privately — not in a document that both of you keep for years.
Before you can save, the app checks: First cleaning date must be on or after the agreement date.
What the signed record shows — and what it doesn’t
It shows
- The address, the first visit date and how often the cleaning repeats.
- The fee per visit, when it is due and how it is paid.
- Who agreed to supply the cleaning products.
- The agreed house rules: 24 hours’ notice to cancel, a possible $25 late-cancellation fee, damage reported within 24 hours, and 7 days’ written notice to end the arrangement.
- Who signed and when, printed on the certificate page.
It doesn’t show
- Which visits took place or were paid. Keep your payment confirmations, or a simple log, for that.
- The scope of each clean beyond what you wrote. “Standard clean” means whatever the two of you said it meant, so write it down.
- That you carry insurance or a license. If a client asks, show them the documents themselves.
When this isn’t enough
- You hire other people to clean for you. Running a crew brings employment, insurance and, in some places, licensing or bonding rules that vary by state and city. This contract is between one cleaner (or one cleaning business) and one client; it does not address your staff.
- The client sets your hours, tells you how to do the work and provides everything you use. Depending on the details, the IRS may treat a domestic worker in that position as a household employee rather than an independent business — which changes the client’s tax obligations, not just yours. IRS — Household employees (Topic 756)
- The job is commercial cleaning for a company with its own vendor paperwork, insurance certificates and service-level terms. Expect the company to send its own contract.
How signing works
- You fill in the template in the Agreely app and sign it first.
- You send the other person one link — by text, WhatsApp, email, anything.
- They read the same document in their browser, type or draw their signature, and both of you get the identical signed PDF.
Signatures are captured under the U.S. ESIGN Act and UETA, with a certificate page recording who signed, when, and from which device.
Questions people ask
Can I change the $25 late-cancellation fee?
The fee is part of the template’s wording. If you want a different amount, or no fee at all for long-time clients, say so in the notes — for example, “late cancellations are charged at half the visit fee instead.” Whatever both of you sign is what the record shows.
What happens if something gets damaged?
The contract says the cleaner will handle items with care and that damage has to be reported within 24 hours. It does not say who pays or how much. Many cleaners carry liability insurance for exactly this; if you do, mention it in the notes.
I have twenty clients. Do I fill this in twenty times?
Once per client, yes — each client signs their own copy with their own address and price. On Premium, Duplicate copies an existing agreement so you only change the client’s details, and your own logo replaces the Agreely watermark on the PDF.
How do I raise my price later?
Either side can end the arrangement with 7 days’ written notice. A cleaner way to change the price is to agree on the new fee by message and sign a fresh contract with the new amount and a new start date, so the current terms are always the signed ones.
